Collection And Use Of Your Information
We collect Your Information at various points when you use the Site. We use the data that we collect to tailor your experience on the Site. By observing "desire lines", which show the most commonly used areas, the design of the menu may change based on what is learned from these observations.
When You Register
During the process of registering on the Site, you may be required to provide certain personal contact information such as your name, maiden name (if applicable), mailing address, e-mail address, phone number, birth date, password, etc. Please keep in mind that although most of your personal contact information will not be viewable by other members, once you are registered, your name will be displayed on the Site and you will no longer be anonymous to us or to other individuals who access the Site.
When You Login to the Site
Log Files
Like most standard website servers, we use and maintain the information that we obtain from your browser on our server logs. This information can include Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider ("ISP"), and other data. We may use this information to analyze trends, administer the Site, track user movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. Cookies

When You Use the Messaging Services
All emails sent from the Site are done from the email address of webmaster at marshallclassmates dot com. When you send a message from the site, the reply-to address on the message will be yours, so if the recipient decides to reply, it will go directly to you. Since the emails are sent from webmaster at marshallclassmates dot com, any undeliverable messages will be returned to that address. The Site administrator (Bill Woodland) will inform you of any emails that are returned, so at least you know why you will never get a reply. Because of this, we reccomend that you do not put any personal info in the emails....simply use them to get in touch. Once you get a reply, you and the other person can communicate using your own email programs, and the Site is out of the loop.
MarshallClassmates.com respects the privacy of members communications sent through the Message Center and does not read or disclose those communications unless we believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of MarshallClassmates.com Terms of Service, as otherwise required by law enforcement, or, if the message is undeliverable, for any reason, it will be returned to the webmaster at marshallclassmates dot com, at which time the administrator of the site can read it to help determine how to handle the message.
When You Use Message Forum
Information submitted to the message forum is displayed publicly to anyone registered on the site, so please exercise care in deciding what information you wish to disclose. We have the right, but not the obligation, to monitor any activity and content associated with the public forums and interactive areas on the Site. Please review our Terms of Service for our guidelines regarding your appropriate use of these areas.
When You Use the "Invite Friends" Feature
If you elect to use our referral service for informing a friend about our Site, you will be asked to provide your friend's e-mail address. We will then automatically send the friend a one-time e-mail inviting them to visit the Site. We ask for this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time e-mail and tracking the success of our referral program. These addresses are not archived in any way.
When You Use the Reunion Center
Designated Reunion Coordinators on MarshallClassmates.com (see Terms of Service for additional information and requirements) are provided with tools to support their ability to inform MarshallClassmates.com members about their reunion. Please be aware that, as a Reunion contact, your email address is available to all members of the site.
When You Enter Information In Your Profile
The basic information in your profile is visible to all members of the site. Your email address, mailing address, and phone number are only visible by reunion coordinators. Free form Bio's on MarshallClassmates.com are publicly viewable by other members of the Site and are included in the Site "Search" tool. For this reason, please use care in providing information that you may not want to publicly disclose. Additionally, please see our Terms of Service regarding the types of information that you may post.
Sharing Your Information
Confidentiality
MarshallClassmates.com only shares Your Information with others when we have your permission, or under the types of circumstances described in this Privacy Policy above.
Business Transitions
In the event that MarshallClassmates.com goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition, liquidation or sale of all or a portion of its assets, our members personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred. Members will be notified of any such business transition in advance via e-mail and/or prominent notice on the Site.
Legal Disclosure
We may disclose Your Information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to conform to applicable law, comply with a judicial proceeding, court order or legal process served on MarshallClassmates.com or the Site, protect and defend the rights or property of MarshallClassmates.com, or investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or violations of our Terms of Service.
Changing Or Correcting Your Information

Here you may change such information as your name, birth date, mailing address, e-mail address and password. If you wish to have your membership removed from the Site for any reason, simply use our online registration removal process.
If you have any problem removing your membership, please request assistance from webmaster at marshallclassmates dot com. Upon removal of membership from the Site, we may retain Your Information for a period of time in our internal databases and systems.
Communications From Classmates
It is our policy to send you only the types of e-mail that you elect to receive, in addition to our customary business communications (e.g., e-mail address confirmation, administrative messages, other offline communications, etc.).
The Security Of Your Information
We have instituted physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to store and maintain Your Information in a secure environment. You may also be required to use a password to access certain pages on the Site where certain types of Your Information can be changed or deleted. It is therefore important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password, emails which we may send you and to your computer. You take full responsibility for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. Furthermore, while we have implemented safeguards, you should be aware that Internet security technology rapidly changes.
